Lisa Beeson is currently teaching kindergarten at Wilder Elementary! She has been teaching for 30 years and has been with SPS for 28 years. Looking back at her time with SPS, her favorite memories include the funny things that come out of 5 years olds, the excitement of seeing a child learn to read & write, and friendships that will last a lifetime. She will miss getting to see the children, parents and her school family. Advice that Lisa wants to share is to never give up and don’t retire during a pandemic. “My advice would to be not to retire during a pandemic! No seriously, I would tell teachers to never give up, your students need you more than you will ever know. Also, take time to build relationships with the children & their families. Enjoy the journey!”
