Planned Gift Will Support SPS Students for Generations through the Judith Irwin Endowment for Children.
There are many ways for people to give back. One, is by establishing a planned gift to be paid at your passing. These gifts provide a lasting legacy for donors and their families, and provide countless resources for students.
Foundation for SPS long-time supporter, Judith Irwin, knew years ago that she wanted to help children in Springfield Public Schools. She had already established The Next Step Scholarship fund which supports graduating seniors. Judith spent 35 years working for Springfield Public Schools as a teacher and counselor. She had seen first-hand, how many students struggled at home and at school.
When she established her planned gift, she wanted to make sure that students were supported long after she was gone. Judith’s gift is now realized with the establishment of the Judith Irwin Endowment Fund for Children, which will provide support to students across Springfield Public Schools through the Foundation’s annual grant program.
